ONE’S Rent A Car Return Guide | Fuel, Cleaning and Airport Shuttle

On your final day in Guam, work backward from your flight time so you have enough time to refuel and return the car. This guide walks through fuel, the gas receipt, cleaning, return time, vehicle inspection and the airport shuttle at ONE’S Rent A Car.

Use the required fuel grade on the day of return and keep the receipt.

Step 1: Check Your Return Time and Flight Schedule

Return the vehicle to the ONE’S Tumon office by the time stated in your contract. If a delay becomes likely, contact the office immediately. A rental cannot be extended by phone alone; the renter and credit card holder must visit the office to complete payment for an extension.

After the return, a complimentary shuttle is available from the office to Guam International Airport. Allow enough time for refueling and the vehicle inspection so you can arrive with room to spare before check-in. If you arrange a taxi instead of using the shuttle, that fare is not reimbursed.

Step 2: Refuel on Return Day and Keep the Receipt

The ONE’S usage guide requests a full-tank return, while the rental terms say to return the vehicle at the same fuel level as pickup. Follow the fuel level recorded at pickup and your rental contract; ask the office before refueling if anything is unclear. Extra fuel is not reimbursed.

  • Standard vehicles use regular unleaded gasoline
  • The terms specify premium unleaded for 2019–2020 Chevrolet Camaro vehicles
  • Refuel on the day of return and keep the gas receipt
  • Check the pump label and rental instructions rather than relying only on nozzle color

If the wrong fuel is used, the current terms list a $400 NOC (non-operation charge), a $150 service fee and the cost of replacing the fuel, regardless of insurance. If you notice a misfuel, do not start the engine; contact the station and ONE’S.

Step 3: Check for Sand, Mud, Moisture and Sunscreen

Beach sand, wet towels and sunscreen marks can easily remain in the vehicle. Remove all belongings and inspect the seats, footwells, floor mats, trunk and inside door panels.

The current terms list these condition-based cleaning charges:

  • Excessive sand: $100
  • Heavy mud, stains or dirty mats: $300
  • Orange dirt requiring detailing and deep cleaning: $450
  • Cigarette or marijuana odor: $250
  • Wet seats, sunscreen stains and similar conditions: starting at $100, depending on severity

Smoking is prohibited, and pets are generally not allowed in the vehicle. If the car needs more than ordinary cleanup, contact the office before using any cleaning chemicals.

Step 4: Check Keys, Accessories, Tickets and Personal Items

  • Confirm the key, floor mats, tools and documents in the glove compartment are present
  • Check for phones, wallets, passports, chargers, sunglasses and items around child seats
  • Report any parking or traffic ticket received during the rental
  • Tell staff about an accident, new damage, tire issue or warning light

The terms list charges of $200–$800, depending on the situation, for items such as a lost or wet key, missing hubcap or a battery drained through renter negligence. Once a key is reported missing, reprogramming is initiated for security, so the new-key charge still applies even if it is later found.

The renter must pay any violation ticket plus a $100 company service fee. The terms also list a $1,000 penalty for an unreported ticket, so contact ONE’S as soon as you receive one.

Step 5: Inspect the Vehicle with Staff

At the office, inspect the vehicle together with staff. Photos or video of the car and check sheet taken at pickup make it easier to distinguish existing marks from new damage.

For an accident or new damage such as a deep scratch or dent, the terms state that a $150 company service fee is charged to the card on file. Coverage and deductibles depend on the protection purchased and the circumstances, so ask for an explanation and review the itemized charges.

Frequently Asked Questions

Must I return the car with a full tank?

The usage guide requests a full tank, while the rental terms say the same fuel level as pickup. Check the recorded pickup level and your contract, and ask the office if in doubt. A same-day gas receipt is required.

Can I extend the rental by phone if I am late?

No. Contact the office immediately, but an extension requires the renter and cardholder to complete payment at the office. Do not extend the rental without authorization.

Is there a shuttle to the airport after return?

Yes. ONE’S provides a complimentary shuttle from the office to the airport. Return early enough to allow time for refueling and the vehicle inspection. Taxi fares are not reimbursed if you choose to arrange one instead.

Summary

A smooth ONE’S return starts with checking the time, refueling on return day, keeping the receipt, cleaning out the car, confirming keys and accessories, and inspecting the vehicle with staff. A free airport shuttle is available, so return well before your flight rather than leaving the process until the last minute.
